These days I’m fading in, coming into light

Making myself known, knowing it’s all right

It’s a welcome change, fading in at last

These days I’m fading in and it’s a blast

Wondering why it took so long

Each day I’m more like him

In that I’m only trying to find a space where I belong

It always feels like drowning when I hear a person say

«If I could I would change but I can’t today»

To be so bemused that you let a minute pass

Talents you don’t use, as you sit there on your ass

And it’s tough to keep your color, the brighter that you are

There ain’t no black and white and me

I’m fading in just like a shinning star

We all have our days, lord knows I’m always having mine

There is more to life than getting it right every time
