Under the sky and the shining stars above

Familial ghosts come and haunt me in my sleep

The satisfied gaze of the rank and file

We got the sea and the sand

We got colonial days on stolen, stolen land

No more oasis in the Anthropocene

Only flat black glass

Under the waves and gone at, gone at last
