Family, friends, and loved ones

Never let me have my fun

So I kicked them to the curb

Now I feel so free it’s absurd

I recall their cruelty

Yeah they’d never let me be

Like when my wife said

You’ll have to choose

Between the whiskey and me

They were always nagging

Telling me that

I could do exactly

As I please

And until I decide

To do what’s right

They wouldn’t be there

So I packed my things and left

And I haven’t missed them yet

Because I’m finally free

There are days when I regret

Decisions I have made

But I’ve made my choice

And I’ll stick with it

Until I go to my grave
