I woke up, opened my eyes

And looked out to the darkening skies

The world has gone crazy as blood fills the streets

Steal, kill, destroy, the cycle repeats

But we cannot get back to these destructive forces

That many digest like a meal with five courses

Like wild running horses, we flee from the truth

And drink up the lies as we confuse our youth

There’s always hope in tomorrow

By working to save our today

People so high are brought down so low

But when they need love we shut down the flow

The problem’s so noisy, we just need some silence

But all that we get is more hate and gun violence

And when we should extend some grace

Instead we still choose to shed blood over race

Getting up in my face like I’m somehow displaced

If we keep up the war, we’ll all be erased
