Giving Up -

Well here I go again

Stuck in this basement

Paper and pen in hand and lack of motivation

'cause I’ve grown tired

So uninspired

Can’t seem to write the words I want to say on paper

Well here I go again

Stuck in this routine

Working a dead end job

Not even making ends meet

So I’ll dig my grave

Work my life away

Grow old and spend my final days just feeling empty

I’m never gonna be the one to say

I’m giving up what means the most to me

'cause every day is

Mine for the taking

I’m making my own opportunities

I sit back and ponder

On the way things used to be

When I was younger

So careless and naive

I’m giving everything I’ve got

But what I get is never quite enough

It’s getting harder to keep up

Concerned with everything I’m not
