I met her at a Bad Religion show

She seemed to understand what most people don’t know

I did my best to stay right by her side

The years went by we tried and tried and tried and tried

The eyes are all around

Some want to push inside and some look down

Once in a life you find a precious soul

And then you learn your heart has no control

And we can’t see their light it’s underground

We hit this world alone

Even if we find someone, a home

We know that it will be torn away

And we will be alone again, someday
