No more than a cardboard stage

No struggle for an answer

A line for you to sell

My parasol

Shield from the falling

Sky that I envision is nigh

Standing by the water’s edge

And weighing all my options

To leave behind what has brought me ashore

Trying in vain to hedge

Whispering a word of caution

The raft is swept to sea forever more…
