While the world has other things in mind

She says «you shall not seek what you are trying to find,»

That’s fine, I pass the time

I could build a nest for me to rest my head

I could live modestly and still keep well-fed

Driving down the interstate and feeling a smile

Breaking down these big walls every mile, every mile

While the world is taking her turn

Tasting the smoldering paper as it burns

And it’s cheap but it feels alright

We will make it through the morning

We will see another night
