Why is 11 not enough?

Why don’t we ever toughen up?

Where do we finally find the nerve?

I’ve denied it all I can

But no is just a word.

Why doesn’t 12 mean something more?

I could insist, but I’m not sure.

There’s nothing wrong with moving slow

But I never would have gone

If I never said I’d go

Why don’t we gamble on 13?

There’s knowing at the end,

But there’s wisdom in between

You can trade the end or the ire in your eyes

Cause they might enjoy the game

But you’ll win it every time

Why don’t we give fourteen the floor?

Let’s see what he says, he’s been here before

They, they ain’t always on the team

But he’ll give you what you want
