Quicksand - Solitary Experiments

I know that time is flying past

Like the flow of sand in an hourglass

I count the days there’s much more to be done

The sirens call a last salute but I can’t hear

A serpent caused the fall of man I don’t believe

A trojan horse in front of me I just can’t see

The smell of death is in the air but I can’t breathe

Too much surrounded by the dark

Maybe sometimes we’ve gone too far

Now I stay here I’ve never felt so wrong

My body clock is ticking fast

Ashes to ashes and dust to dust

I close my eyes and wait for things to come
