We took our seats ahead of the show

Confections and treats all ready to go

It was a grand old sight — parted curtains of white

A mesmeric scene projected on the screen

A proud man driven in a black Cadillac

Cars at the front, cops at the back

He smiled with a wave of his generous hand

Thunder shook across the land

His head nodded forward then violently back

Crack and crack upon crack and crack

A crimson dream escaped from his skull

We all fell silent we all felt null

Curtains closed, the Usher spake

No need for alarm, you shan’t come to harm

He sprinkled his sleeping dust across our eyes

A fitful lullaby was our prize

While we were sleeping it grew and grew

Tendrils creeping through and through

The black mass spreading here and there

Still we kept on sleeping without a care

T’was a bright fresh day in Appleton

Towers of grey stood in the sun

A bolt struck fast from Jerusalem

Buildings shook, crumbled like crumbs

A Rubicon of blood wormed its way

Throughout the night and throughout the day

The town crier howled it was the hordes

Heathen whores, Allah’s Lords

T’was not polite to disbelieve

Though something shook up his sleeve

The magician waved, t’was a brilliant show
