I held hard to my Mothers hand — My palm sweat perked her up

She gasped, 'life'll have its way with us' - I nod my head kinda dumb

I blame myself for my sisters legs — how they gave when she was pushed

I always drank her milk for her — cause she claimed it made her hurt

I said naught to that scum — who pushed her hard from behind

I dodge the calls thrown at me — from the men all round town

They wonder why I don’t get hard — with that man who had his way with us
