She convinces me to take the drive

So I hop on 55 and ride to the coast

To bury another ghost in the sand

Or carry me away from here

Sometimes I want to disappear

Then she lays down next to me

And she says, «Hey, why don’t you stay the night?»

Implying we don’t have to fight

About where we’ve been or what we’d done before

Because it doesn’t matter anymore

Society’s got us twisted

But we don’t have to listen to what they say

Or what they expect from us

I think we must

We’re no strangers to lust

And if we break at the first sign of pressure

Then maybe lesser people deserve to be where we are

So tell me is this real enough for you?
