Feet toward the sun

Every memory and action vivid

The promise of a swift return too little

Too haunted and too fragile

The same noise over and over again

Panic wraps its lying hands around your throat

Quiet sobs and cries for help echo off the stone walls

And fade to nothing

Alone underground

White light

Then dark
