Look back on creation

A long road to where life begun

Right from the start, we had walked all the way

The final strait we had run

Now look at the world

An image of hell that has come

The cauldron of life, now melting away

Billions of years that’s gone

It’s the reason for destruction

The nature of the beast

The devil’s rejoicing

This night that’ll never end

Unforgiving darkness

This nightmare’s not pretend

Life is just illusion

A piece of time we hold

Captured in our madness

The day the sun turned cold

The cities on fire

The world is aflame

Our prayers they were answered before

But this time we will burn

Our tears in the clouds

Our blood in the rain

As the earth lies in darkness once more

Will it see life again?

As the sun hides forever

The world is brought to its knees

The skies they will hold the ashes of time

The seas of blood, they will freeze

Searching through the darkness

The ghostly sounds ride the wind

Seeing the souls of all history gone

Kissing goodbye to their friend

It’s the reason for destruction

The clouds that won’t hide away

The rain in my eyes

Running away I have nowhere to hide

Searching for peace in my mind

These old memories how they haunt me now

I know this peace I’ll never find
