The restless heart grows weary

From the wandering lonesome and free

Tether me, he solemnly cried

To the one that will travel here by my side

And what trials may lie in the way

Of my will to hold on for just one more day

A dusty record skips on around

A tired old theme once again

The voice assures it all ends just fine

But little it does to comfort my mind

And I struggle to find my way

To justify holding on for just one more day
