A portrait of your face hangs within these walls where it will stay for all

eternity

So that none shall see what you’ve turned me into

Burn my flesh and try to forget

Tied to the depths of the ocean floor

You are the reason I can’t sleep at night

What a flattering remark

Words such as tehse feed the pain inside

This monster grows quicker than eyes can blink

Beginning to engulf my pride and joy

It’s just a test of my strength

Peer under the closet door and

Fantasies run through my mind

I never shined so bright

Then as if compassion never existed

This dream becomes a nightmare

Overtaking every aspect of emotion

There are no feelings

Only thoughts of self-pity

Look what you’ve brought me to

I lay on my knees
