To this plague of query

Can sleep reach this far

To assuage this agitation?

Captive by insomnia’s hold

Circumvent the weary

Tranquil inundation

Wash over this anxious mind

Fill restless hollow dreams

So there’s nothing left to find

Did sleep come this far

Or just the hand of reverie?

Somnolence in oblivion

She promises answers

Sleep is way too far

Beyond the reach of out-stretched arms
