These flames engulf me from the inside

This has to be what dying feels like

The exothermic process expands to the outside

Rapid oxidation will eat me alive

For a fraction of a second

My pores flood with sweat

Before the blood boils and burns like oil

In agonizing silence

In order to emit light

One must endure burning

The brightest phenomenon

Gives suffering a new meaning

Time keeps perpetually passing

But I’m suspended in a moment

Alive inside a molten glass casket

Dying to live again
