Sea change is gonna come some day, I know it’s gonna come my way

Oh it may not be easy and the road may be long

But a sea change is coming and I hope you’ll come along

As I was walking home one day I heard a little voice inside

And it spoke to me clearly said it’s time to move along

Told me you must prepare yourself, for a change is coming on

You’ve got to look into your life,

burn through all the bitterness and dismay

There’s a world waiting for you you can fight it and delay

But the truth is unavoidable, getting closer every day

And so I’ve laid down into my mind,

finding what to keep and throw away

And it feels like a mountain with a summit I can’t find

But I’ll focus on what’s in front

of me, take a step and start to climb

For I’ve been a scoundrel, been a scourge and a plague

Feels like I’ve let down everyone who has ever depended on me

But I can be a different man than the one I used to be

Let a sea change come washing down on me

And so I’ve found a new lease on my

life, and out of the struggle will I rise

No more smoking and drinking, sleeping half my life away

Gonna treat life like a miracle, gonna savor every day

For a sea change will be coming on
