The face flows through the river’s mind

But the real face is a different kind.

A name in text brings up a face

A house in mind embodies a place

The house unknown can never be known

Only replaced and windward thrown.

Through miles of blue and jazzy zest

Through ether’s heart and scraggy nest

They did exist but never stood

On concrete ground or touching wood.

Just like an undelivered text

The face and house will never rest

Like ghosts they haunt the troubled mind

And taunt the life they cannot find.
