He’s got a hold of my heart, he didn’t take it he just held his hands out

I know I shouldn’t get close and he tries to keep me at an arm’s length

But when our foreheads touch, I’m connected to a feelin' from a higher plane

I think he must read eyes, ‘cause he knows all my secrets and just what I like

He is a wild horse on the run

It’s not as bright when he is gone, he holds a lot of light and a lot of love

I tried to blow out the flame, but my candle for him is still a burning blaze

And I like it when he’s close, but sometimes I can feel him from the opposite

coast

His radiating meditations fill me with light again

And when he’s thinkin', well, I don’t think he thinks of me

But when he’s drinking, well, I don’t ever wanna see
