morning

and it burns like a fire

it brings out desires

and dreams of a time we could

live and let die

the night comes

we go to bed

closing our eyes as we wait

for the sleep to come take

but the bad things come instead

is that

why we wait for

distant mornings

to appear on

our horizons

did i tell you?

did i say this was easy?

it’s not just a walk in the park

but there’s light in the dark

so don’t be afraid

as we wait for

time’s advances

to take us to

newer waters

i can’t say that

we won’t drown but

i will catch you

if you’re falling

down
