We were together on the mountaintop

Doves flying up to the night sky all around

Singing voices in the air, birds diving in delight

We were dancing in the moonlight on the pier

And then I thought it would be nice

To live on the mountain by your side

Picking berries with the herd

Sweets all for the wanderer

Laughing as we’re going down the aisle

And I might use a groove from my home

The doves are in the kitchen and the sun sets on the field

Might go out to see the cheer of it

Forget my dues to the saints

Asking the mass to be our guides
