Along a Nightmare - Impulse

On a lake of sweat my deep night falls

My eyes are closed but still I can see

Standing here restless and alone

Climbing up from the dephts

That bastard appeared again, he won’t leave me alone

He’s the watcher of the dark, master of my soul

Leads me face to face with her majesty, the minister of sins

That keeps me awake in nightime

Yet in daytime he exhausts me and wears me down

We’re born to succumb to time and evil

We’re taken in the snares of death

We could fail once, and die

Or suffer forever, but alive

The temper of my heart is strong, here my pain is off

But into the deep of the stone my spirit is trembling

I seek the one who sets me free, from this infernal trap

Between flesh and rock

Fire!

— the sunset burning behind

Darkness!

— the dawn will come in late

Frost!

— my bones are breaking

Shouts!

— ghosts torture me

Terror!

— I'm missing the ground beneath my feet

Rumble!

— into dephts the battle begins

Red-hot haze!

— acrid smell’s spreading hate

Anguish!

— along the path of the man

In the battle of life, along this nightmare
