The dusk brings poison—breathe it in

A distant sunder is dooming

It’s a bloodstained bundle of flesh and bone

Here and now, preach anything

Flurry down like snow

My head’s been quiet too long

Thoughts pool and shimmer

That’s why I have come

That’s why I sit on the stone

I’m a brainless quitter with a hand in woe
