our bodies won’t last long I need something ethereal

we toss and turn all night dreaming about the intangible

I know what’s real and what’s not

I’m made of mostly water

sometimes I hang out all night

sometimes I should stay longer

they say you’ll quench your thirst if you keep digging the dirt

we’re standing in the swell of an exhausted universe

not worried 'bout going slow I just can’t see myself standing still

I heard we’re connected by string of all things

I wonder what I’ve been tied to

sometimes just a push and a pull is all we need for the knots to undo
