I’m sitting here with my pen and paper

I don’t know what I’m gonna say

I’ve been around a million places

But everything seems to stay the same

Looking out from a dirty window

Lights go on but no one’s there

Sitting down in my big brown sofa

The silent room makes me depressed

And I don’t mind being

Overcome by some aggravation

As long as life moves away from this

And keep changing stations

A toast alone for the new beginnings

Celebrating what’s to come

On my back looking at the ceiling

The endless white can’t spell my name
