I’ve been told, I’ve been told time and time again

You’ll never be good enough

It’s getting old, getting old, now I’ve got a plan

I’ve been stuck in this rut for far too long

And I’ve only got myself to blame

Cause wishful thinking only gets me so far

And now it’s time to make a change

It’s only up from here

It’s time to come alive again

Don’t lift me up for just another letdown

Looking for something that can never be found

I’ll cut my losses and leave this town

When it comes to fighting there’s a time and there’s a place for that

Compromise seems overrated

Feels like I’m writing out of spite but I’m okay with that

Just a reminder of the times I hated

But I believe that this will take me so far
