One flickering light becomes an apparition

A dancing angel on a window’s pane

And hands come together

Like a memory of Sunday, fruition, refrain

Somewhere down the line;

somewhere far away

Time: hold back your restless hands

And those of us who wait

And I;

I would have met you there

Had I still known your face

You’ve fallen far away from my light

And trying to shut your eyes

To the broken chain that dangles free again

My fallen friend

Your heaven but a hand to hold in my eyes

Always trying to breathe you life

If not to burn than enough to break free

Nothing now but a search for an absolution
