Your first lesson in life is that when you close your eyes

The things that you’re hiding from won’t wither and die

It’s not enough to pretend like no words were said

There’s still evidence here that I’ve been misled

And I wish that it wasn’t beyond me to put down in words how those photographs

made me feel

'Cause you deserve every acerbic lie;

«Hey I went out tonight, I didn’t think of you once»

And if you tell your friends that you can’t leave the house for fear of what

could happen

If word got out, if this was to follow you home

Well I’d be curious to know how you’d respond

But then I’ve seen your coping skills and I wasn’t fond
