The silence there it breaks your heart

Buried sounds I believe you

That this happens to women

Maimed bodies make the longest of lines

So the voices sink deep down

Ropes they pull at buried sounds

Reigning hands they threaten us

To carry inside a silent dust

Our body’s not a public space

A corporal autonomous space

Hands that enter your space

They violate the whole human race

Take your body back for you

In sacred flesh held in sacred view

Women girls, all genders align

Survivor’s blood, survivors mind

And everyone who cares for others lives

It’s time, this silence comes alive

Before it breaks the night
