Opened up my eyes

Opened up the door

Nothing ever changed

Still I’m in the war

Bullets fly above

Step over the bones

You are like a light

Underneath the stone

You were in the house

I was in the street

You sat there all along

You could never leave

Men have rearranged

Spread out of control

You were in the sky

I was in the hole

And like a grey cloth that was covering my face

Obscured my vision and it took up all my space

Melting all away

Everyone is burned

Everyone’s surprised

No one ever learns

Rats are on the run

And I am born anew

But nothing is the same

The light is coming through

And laws of civilization don’t apply to us

We are always everyday all filled with dread and lust

And now I feel it starting over again

Here I am still vainly clutching at those phantom limbs

When all the thought is gone

Desire is stripped away

Now there is an ocean coming from the image that you made

While I’m in the space

Waiting for the rub

Somewhere far away

You’re coming back to life

Circle in the sky

No warmth on the ground

I’m calling out your name

But you are never found
