It’s clear to me what could have been

Here’s my acceptance speech

Wish that I lived up to what you thought I’d be

'Cause now you’re moving on

We’re past the point of no return

But I accept the point I’ve had to learn

I tried to win and lost it all

Now you’re a hostile crowd

And I’ve got nothing written down

I’m just fighting back the rage

Knowing I’m nothing to you now

And I don’t know what to do

'Cause it’s so hard to face the truth
