Cursed with consciousness,

better never to have been.

Reconsider before you condemn

yet another to a life sentence.

Suffering: the only thread that connects us all.

Let your life serve as a warning,

don’t pass on the curse.

For every promise of happiness,

I assure you things only get worse.

Curse of consciousness:

you work for,

you love for,

you live for,

you die for nothing.

In my search for this life’s answers

I’ve only come up short.

I’ve watched injustice befall the good

while fortune favors the corrupt.

You work for,

you love for,

you live for,

you die for nothing.

Curse of consciousness.

No one consents to this fate,

no one wins at this game.

You hurt the ones who love you,

and lose the ones you love…

That’s the price you pay for life.
