I cross this land

Land once ruled by men

The wild would pull them

Maples grew and fell

Rivers turned back on themselves

The wave rolls in and with it takes the sand

Dragon flies with wings

Eyes so big would see

Children born without wings

The bricks that rose now fall

Branches push through the walls

To carry on paths that we don’t see

Warm air lifts us free
