Trapped into a shell

A painful cage that slowly decays

Prisoner of the stench

By his own flesh, betrayed

Time, the enemy

Racing against fate

For a place among history

Immortal desire, desperate fantasy

Searching divine

Compulsive dive into futile believes

Fear defeats reason

Arrogant display of ignorance

Truth beyond reach

A world devoid of certitude

Haunted by the questions

Tormented by existential solitude

Into the abyss, we stare

Pretend to know the end

Looking for a purpose

An ideal to make sense

Into the pit, we fall

A dreadful descent

Returning into dust

Living to die alone

Endless tunnel, forever black path

Follow the feeble light

Darkness drowns and suffocate mind

Weighted by remorse / Terrified at the outcome

Into the abyss, we stare

Pretend to know the end

Looking for a purpose
