When you wake up late in the morning

And there’s glitter dust in your pillow

When the shouts and thundering ovations

Make your gorgeous lullaby

And you want something to believe in

And you love the glitz and the glory

When the praise and blind adoration

Fill the emptiness in your heart

And you never, ever feel lonely

And it feels like even nothing to feel

For just one moment you feel safe in the clear

Then somebody comes around the corner

Someone lost somebody who needs you

All that was is simple existence

Lets the sunlight into your soul

Now the glamour seems like a delusion

You can see through the cracks in the seams

You’ve lost that moment, onto new bigger dreams

I can’t keep pretending that this life is what it seems

It’s no Garden of Eden, it’s just a scheme

Somehow we’ve forgotten that it’s all just make believe

No one wants to question, they’re too naive

Wake up, something’s wrong

You’re deluding yourselves
