I never forgot

How I felt at first

Oh but the warmth

Was so comforting

The light helped me

Find my way

But it spiraled out

Of control

I thought the light came

From a better place

But I’ve learned

Somethings are too good to be true

My world was set Ablaze

And the fire was raging

I was trapped in a haze

Her flames were consuming

My world has burned

Now everything is dust

My soul has turned

Into ashes

She took everything

I ever loved

Devoured it all

But it wasn’t enough

She couldn’t be

Satisfied

Until she had

Erased my existence

I thought the light came

From a better place

But I’ve learned

Somethings are too good to be true

Too far gone

No way back
