Sittin quiet, writing lists

Of old times, what you miss

In the dark a stolen kiss

Or the sprinklers gentle mist

Neighbor sherry makes a wish

Hope their futures not like this

Cause I want better for my kids

Oh to be proud of what they did

I imagine nothings wrong

Drinking tea out on the lawn

With this blanket grandma knit

Now I’m thinking yeah this is it

Little charlie’s blowing out

Candles while her parents shout

Hard to choose how to use this

Wish for something to someday miss

Like a stolen kiss, or the gentle mist
