She turns her head and walks away from me with tear drops in her eyes

Everyone around is thinking that I’m such an awful guy

And if I put my hand out, she would just keep going on her way

No understanding, not a reason why she isn’t here to stay

I’m seeing a world of disbelief and why it always turns on me

And now I’m getting closer to another day

The other day I went thru photographs and letters from our past

I can’t help but wonder how the Hell I thought that this could last

And if I stare much longer, I’ll begin to trust in what I know;

That opportunity will take you far, and then it’s time to go
