No news is good news

Till you’re shot in the heart

We’ve got hungry and homeless

And privileged running from the pack

Civil unrest and innocent under attack

We’ve tried to get the ideals of the people to pass

But congress is in a huddle and they’re sitting on their ass

Don’t sit there and think I’ll let you walk on me

If you think I’m mad you haven’t seen angry

Don’t be fooled

By the looks of what you see

I may have been a friend

Now I’m an enemy

There’s so much confusion going on today

Many of our leaders don’t know what to say

They suspend the issues, it buys them more time

As these people in office continue feeding us a line

How can we really believe

In their campaign overkill

While the politicians having a party

And they’re slipping us the bill
