Intro to Horti - Asher Roth

It’s the first day of class here at the University of College

And the students are about to settle in for their very first lecture hall with

Professor Roth

Good morning, florists, well sort of

Maybe some of you unsure of what’s the story but don’t worry

I bet some of you’ll get bored of this class

It’s horticulture, otherwise known as torture

«Please no more, sir, don’t enforce her»

For those who are impatient, for those down to wait

Be prepared to be amazed by all the things found out in nature, shit is great

Now for starters you’ll be eating big leafy greens

With vitamins to fight inflammatory disease

And not only are they sweet, flowers look really neat

When you put 'em in a vase on the table with some seats

Understand nowadays so much going in your face

Moving such a wicked pace, I might never learn a trade

Or maybe this is lame, you prefer the stock exchange

Working twelve hour days 'cause you wanna get paid

I don’t blame you, but hey, hate the not the player

But now say it as a layer that you may not be aware

Bedrock to top soil, set up the shop for you

In the greenhouse so you can see everything we speak 'bout

Peak out the window, see a whole world

No need for innuendo, turn off TV and Nintendo

Get a friend, play pretendo, need a

They say that you can’t in the end you really can though

So decide, it’s worth your time, you can prep for nine to five

Or take on pesticides, making insects step aside

We provide an outlet, new perspective better yet

That indeed we’re all connected, up to us we protect it so
