Now, my life started off decades ago

In a place the most folks are afraid to go

As a young man I put on the greatest show

Based kicks on the one and proceed to scratch

With wrists, so slick and fast

Just rip it in a wreck hall

With a host on a mic yelling «Yes, yes, y’all!»

While the sets raw write it on the wall

Turf displays, a backdrop prop for the urban craze

Young limbs, did spins and strech like elastics

Street gymnastics, packed with theatrics

Heating up the room like a pyro with matchsticks

Add a little gas and whoof, that’s it

But the verse started catching slow

To an inferno that turned to a fashion show

When they kept fending the flame, it spread to the masses

As I leaped over the ghetto, I arrived

With a filter unsettling, but a devil inside

Like the Jeckyll & Hyde in a penthouse suite, can a rebel abide?

A worm out of the apple across the globe

To replace rock and roll, I got exposed

Dissect and then analize, thoughts provoked

And it was all too much, I lost control

But worldwide acclaim, I became snide and

Getting high on a pride of fame, so full of contradictions

Was I on a mission or do I play fool

And sing a song a fiction, needing a rap with a faster flow

I called a few cats who are masterful

We swam the mainstream and I stacked the dough

But slowly, huh

And anyone who can remember me then

They knew the Grim Reaper was entering in

I was ruling the charts with a funeral march

And serving my hardest, food for the sharks

Kicking that corporate flow, pretending to be CEO

But shop had to turn off the lights

And in the end I’m the one who paid the permanent price

So say goodbye, all is lost

I can’t deny my own Holocaust

And just between you and me

The first words on record were the start of my eulogy

Sad to say as I pass away

I’m sorry but I’m won’t be coming back today

Because I sold Satan my soul

Now all the sin down below, start paying its toll
