I remember that second grade summer

Storm season in our home town

Sittin' in the cellar

Tornado was a coming

Daddy read the bible by the Coleman gas light

How God sent a rainbow to Noah for a sign

The wind stopped blowing

Momma turned to me and said

Huggin' mama goodbye took an hour

A grey sky day for her baby girl
