And I’m weighting down a chair, reading the signs

Horizontal blinds just dilute in bits

So you paint your own picture on metallic slits

As they walk around behind them, I will always remember

That their shapes looked hollow and I’ll always remember

Although I have to tell myself to always remember

That their faces looked blank and I’ll always remember

There is no cure for the common cold so don’t expect a cure for cancer

At least you can appreciate the humour in it

We’ll jump feet first, holding charts is cold comfort

In the comfort we’ve not advanced too much

Progress is compartmentalised

But there’s something in the harshness that I want to remember
